The programs focus on recreational classes aimed at youth from eighteen months through high school. They will consist of gymnastics and tumbling classes that are fifty minutes long. Each class will begin with a warm up period, continue with instruction, and finish with a cool down activity.
Parent & Tot
This class will consist of children ages eighteen months to three years old. Parents will accompany their toddler into the gym. Activities will focus on basic motor skills and strength along with incorporating basic gymnastics skills. Class ratio around 10:1.
The class will consist of only three-year-olds. Children will be taught basic gymnastics skills on all four apparatus (vault, bars, beam, and floor). Emphasis will be placed on teamwork and coordination. Class ratio around 7:1.
The class will consist of four year olds. Children will learn more advanced skills that incorporate strength and balance on all four apparatus. Class ratio around 8:1.
The class will consist of five year olds. As the children become more in tune with their own capabilities, their limits will be pushed in gymnastics class. Activities will include more complicated skills that incorporate strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Class ratio around 8:1.
This class will consist of children six years and up. It will focus on basic gymnastics skills for those with little or no gymnastics experience. All four apparatus will be used in teaching introductory skills. Skills include: forward and backward roll, cartwheel, handstand, pull over, and back hip circle. Class ratio around 8:1.
This class will consist of children six years and up. More advanced skills will be taught to those with some gymnastics experience. Skills include Round-off, back walkover, front hip circle, handstand on beam, and basic dance skills. Class ratio around 8:1.
This class will consist of children six years and up. Advanced skills will be taught to those with extensive gymnastics experience. Skills include back handspring, front handspring, squat on, glide kip, cartwheel on beam, and advanced dance skills. Class ratio around 8:1.
Tumbling (8-11, 12+)
This class will be broken into two age groups, 8-11 and 12 and up. The class will focus only on tumbling. This is a perfect class for those in cheerleading or those simply wanting to focus on the floor apparatus. Class ratio around 8:1.
